While I Was Sleeping

Just one week later, the yard is really coming to life.  Here's the planter in the middle of the walkway.  The plant with the red flowers is a climber and should wind itself up the obelisk.

This pot is awaiting the Impatiences. Maybe it will be warm enough this week.

The blossoms on the Fotheringilla are really a cluster of stamens.  I love the texture-like bottle brushes.

Day lilies are close to 18 inches high.

The shady, sparse grass was planted with shad loving ferns.  Here's one of several varieties.

Although the blossom are few, the sweet smell is alluring.

The early bird gets the worm amid the Solomon's Seal.

The Blood Root is filling in.  It faces the sun.

The Viburnum.  Can you smell it?
